¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à Recommendation ITU-R BT.500 and others provides several subjective assessment methods for digital broadcasting systems. However, since the multimedia application is markedly different from the broadcasting system, the subjective assessment methods should be modified. So along with previous methods SAMVIQ (Subjective Assessment Methodology for Video Quality)is proposed. In this method, the viewer can select the scenes randomly using GUI (Graphical User Interface) and are allowed to compare scores and modify. Several tests have been carried out which indicate minimized standard deviations of scores by using an explicit reference and a hidden reference. This recommendation provides subjective assessment methods which are suitable for multimedia applications.
