¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à This Standard specifies the minimum performance requirements for FMCW radar altimeters used in unmanned aerial vehicles, in recognition of their critical role in compensating for the errors of barometric altimeters and GNSS and in ensuring accurate clearance from the ground as autonomous flight capabilities advance and safety-critical missions such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM) increase. It is intended to ensure the reliability of altimeters and to enable objective comparison and verification of performance among products.
