| 한글내용요약 | 본 표준은 이동 IPv6 모바일 노드가 이동하면서 바뀌는 보조 주소의 갱신을 위하여
필요한 시그널링 메시지의 양을 줄이기 위한 이동 IPv6 의 확장기술이다. 이를 위하여 본 표준은 MAP (Mobile Anchor Point), RCoA (Regional CoA), LCoA (On-link CoA)의 개념을 도입하였다. MAP 는 지역 홈 에이전트의 역할을 한다. 이 표준에서 모바일 노드는 RCoA, LCoA 두개의 보조주소를 갖는데, RCoA 는 MAP 에 등록되어 있는 모바일 노드의 보조주소이며 이 주소는 모바일 노드가 MAP 를 바꿀때 변경된다. 따라서 모바일 노드가 한 MAP 내에서 움직이는 동안은 RCoA 는 바뀌지 않으며 LCoA 만 변경되게 된다. 이것은 결국 시그널링 메시지 양의 감소로 이어지게 된다. |

| 영문내용요약 | This recommendation introduces extensions to Mobile IPv6 and IPv6 Neighbour
Discovery to allow for local mobility handling. Hierarchical mobility management for Mobile IPv6 is designed to reduce the amount of signalling between the Mobile Node, its Correspondent Nodes, and its Home Agent. The Mobility Anchor Point (MAP) described in this document can also be used to improve the performance of Mobile IPv6 in terms of handover speed. |
