¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à THIS STANDARD DEFINES THE MAC PARAMETERS, PHYSICAL LAYER, MAU AND REPEATER FOR 100MBPS OPERATION(100BASE-T) IN ADDITION TO THE EXISTING STANDARD, HIGH SPEED LOCAL NETWORKS - CSMA/CD ACCESS METHOD AND PHYSICAL LAYER. 100 BASE-T COUPLES THE ISO/IEC 8802-3 CSMA/CD MAC WITH A FAMILY OF 100 MB/S PHYSICAL LAYERS. WHILE THE MAC CAN BE READILY SCALED TO HIGHER PERFORMANCE LEVELS, NEW PHYSICAL LAYER STANDARDS ARE REQUIRED FOR 100 MB/S OPERATION. 100BASE-T USES THE EXISTING ISO/IEC 8802-3 MAC LAYER INTERFACE, CONNECTED THROUGH A MEDIA-INDEPENDENT INTERFACE LAYER TO A PHYSICAL LAYER DEVICE(PHY) SUBLAYER SUCH AS 100 BASE-T4, 100BASE-TX, OR 100BASE-FX.
