The Technical Report examines the concept of a smart home, its basic architecture and key components, as well as recent trends of technology and market. Next, machine learning and big data technologies for situation awareness and learning, and their tools are investigated and analyzed. Based on these, an AI-based smart home service framework is specified and its use cases are described. For standardization of this framework, the related standardization trends are investigated and the standards gap is analyzed. Finally, future research tasks for improving the integrity of the framework are presented and conclusions are drawn.
