This standard provides LLDP extensions that define the protocols and management objects used to discover the physical topology of stations adjacent to an 802 LAN/MAN. It can advertise more TLVs by transmitting additional TLVs in one or more extended LLDP data units(LLDPDUs). This standard defines the extended LLDP protocol (XLLDP), extended LLDP data unit transmission and reception procedures, Extended Request LLDPDU and Extension LLDPDU formats, and related TLV type, formats.
