The standard specifies interfaces over the Reference Points named Ve-Vnfm-em and Ve-Vnfm-vnf in the NFV framework. For this, section 6 defines the basic concepts of VNF and functional interactions between VNF/EM, and VNFM. Section 7 defines requirements of the Reference Points and their associated interfaces. Section 8, 9 and 10 specifies operations supported in the interfaces for each Reference Point. Annex II illustrates information flow of VNF lifecycle management interfaces in both a direct and indirect mode,
Change notification, scaling, performance/fault management of virtualized resources for a VNF instance as examples. Finally, Annex III shows RESTful APIs of the interfaces defined in this standard based on ETSI GS NFV-SOL002 v2.5.1(2018-08). |
