The technical report introduces that when a user calls or sends an SMS to an emergency center such as 112 or 119, smartphone recognizes that the emergency number is dialed or an SMS is sent, and automatically transmits the user's current location to the emergency call center using SMS, HTTPS or SIP.
In addition, the countries where AML services are used and the status of legislation in Europe are also introduced. Since terminal support is essential for AML service, the current status of AML implementation in Android smartphones and iPhones is also introduced. Finally, the format and the content of SMS used to transmit location information defined in the AML protocol standardized by ETSI is also introduced. The subsequent structure of this technical report is as follows. Chapter 2 lists the domestic and foreign standards cited in this technical report, Chapters 3 and 4 define terms and abbreviations newly used in this technical report, and Chapter 5 describes the contents of AML services, usage status, AML implementation status of Android and iPhone, and SMS message format and contents defined in the ETSI standard are introduced. Finally, Chapter 6 describes the conclusion of this technical report. |
