차량이 공용 이동통신망을 이용한 원격주행을 할 때 다음과 같은 사항을 고려하여야 한다. 먼저, 차량과 관제서버간 설정된 경로의 지연시간이 주기적으로 측정되어야 하며, 관제서버는 해당정보를 자율주행 차량에 공유하여야 한다. 이를 위해 원격주행모듈에 설치된 공용 이동통신망 상태처리기는 관제서버에 설치된 공용 이동통신망 지연예측기로 지연시간 시험패킷을 주기적으로 전송한다. 공용 이동통신망 지연예측기는 지연시간 시험패킷을 분석하여 공용 이동통신망 경로상의 지연정보를 다시 공용 이동통신망 상태처리기로 전송하고, 공용 이동통신망 상태처리기는 이를 이용하여 차량이 전송하는 데이터의 처리율 조절을 요청한다. 차량은 요청된 처리율 이하로 전송하여야 한다.

When the vehicle operates by using public mobile network, followings should be considered. At first, latency time between the vehicle and the server should be measured. The server should inform this latency time to the vehicle. To do that, public mobile network status handler which is in remote driving module should send periodically latency measurement probe packet to the public mobile network latency estimator which is in the server. The public mobile network latency estimator should analyze the packet and evaluate latency information and send the information to the public mobile network status handler. The handler should request throughput control to the vehicle with the throughput control rate. Then, the vehicle should send the data with the requested throughput control rate or below.
