| 한글 내용요약 | 본 표준은 국내 디지털 위성 방송의 시청과 다양한 통신망과의 융합 및 연동을 통해 위성 방송 부가 서비스를 제공하는 데 필요한 방법을 정의하고 있다. 이를 위해, 본 표준에서는 방송 프로그램을 구성하는 비디오 및 오디오, 데이터 신호에 대한 규격을 정의하고, 압축 및 다중화, 프로그램 구성 정보를 포함한 서비스 정보의 구성을 위한
문법과 세부 처리 사항을 설명한다. 또한, 압축, 다중화된 위성 방송 서비스 신호의 전송을 위한 DVB-S/S2/S2X 규격의 전송 시스템과, 수신 방송 신호를 IP 망에 연동하기 위한 변환 시스템의 구성 방법을 규정한다. 그리고 서비스 유형별 위성방송 수신방식에 관한 사항을 정의한다. 부록에서는 서비스 사업자를 위한 참고 내용으로 무궁화 위성 6 호 및 7 호에 대한 제원과 전송 링크 버짓, 방송표준방식 및 방 업무용 무선설비의 기술기준을 정리하였다. 방송통신 융합과 수신환경의 다양화에 따른 위성방송의 다양한 수신방식 필요성이 제기되어 본 표준에 위성방송 수신방식을 추가하였다. |

| 영문 내용요약 | The standard defines the compression method of digital audio and video signal, the packetization of compressed audio-visual bitstream, and the multiplexed packet structure of MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream) for Korean digital satellite broadcasting service. Furthermore, it describes the detailed usage and the syntax of service information, defined in DVB(Digital Video Broadcasting) and MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) standards, for the specification of the structure of served broadcasting programs, and defines the DVB-S and DVB-S2/S2X transport system for the complete explanation of the delivery of multiplexed broadcasting programs through satellite.
