얼굴인증시스템은 카메라에서 얼굴 영상을 획득하여 얼굴 영상이나 템플릿 정보를 시스템으로 전송하여 얼굴인증을 수행한다. 하지만, 얼굴 영상의 획득과정에서 다양한 형태의 위조 얼굴에 의한 공격이 가능하여 얼굴인증시스템의 안전성과 신뢰성을 떨어뜨리는 한 요인이 되고 있다. 따라서, 바이오인식 환경에서 얼굴인증시스템의 안전성을 제고하기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 위조 공격에 대한 대응책이 필요하므로, 본 표준안에서는 얼굴인증을 위한 얼굴영상획득시스템에 대한 다양한 위조 공격 형태를 정의하고 이에 대한 대응하기 위해 얼굴영상획득시스템이 갖춰야 할 기능 규격을 제시하도록 한다.

Face recognition system captures a face image from a camera and transfer the face image, template to the system for face recognition. However, diverse face forgery attempts during a face image capture provide a cause to doubt security and trust of face recognition system. Therefore, the standard presents function standard to prevent it and defines many types of face forgery as needed anti-face forgery solution to build a security of face recognition.
