This standard presents the lifecycle of a hardware-based product and defines supply chain-related security threats that may occur during each stage of the lifecycle. It provides security requirements to respond to the defined security threats so that the supply chain security of hardware-based products can be enhanced throughout the product lifecycle, including hardware-based product development. The supply chain security requirements for hardware-based products presented in this standard are minimum security requirements, and the relationship between security requirements and security threats is presented in Appendix I.
