이 표준은 SNIA EPEM V4.0.0의 분류법 개정에 따라 비휘발성 솔리드 스테이트 스토리지의 기존 분류를 명확히 하기 위해 ‘SNIA EPEM V4.0.0’을 준용하였다. 스토리지의 특정 활성 상태와 유휴 상태에서 스토리지 유형별 분류 기준과 특징을 규정하고 스토리지 제품을 분류하는 분류법과 분류 유형에 대한 요건을 추가하였다. 본 문서에서는 디스크, 이동식&가상미디어 라이브러리(RVML), 비휘발성 솔리드 스테이트(NVSS) 3가지 세트로 구분하고 6가지(온라인, 니어라인, 이동식 매체 라이브러리, 가상 매체 라이브러리, 디스크 액세스, 메모리 액세스) 카테고리로 분류법을 정의하였으며 각 카테고리에 규정된 분류 유형에 대한 요건을 규정한다. |

The standard as the taxonomy was revised to clarify the existing classification of non-volatile solid state storage in SNIA EPEM V4.0.0, In accordance with ‘SNIA EPEM V4.0.0’ classification criteria and characteristics for each storage type are defined in specific active and idle states of storage, and a classification method for classifying storage products are defined. In this document, it is divided into three sets of disk, Removable &Virtual Media Library, and Non-Volatile Solid State, also the classification method is defined in six categories (online, near-line, removable media library, virtual media library, disk access, and memory access). the requirements for the classification type specified in each category are stipulated.
