| 한글 내용요약 | 후각은 시각과 청각과는 달리 화학적 요소에 의해 구성되는 복잡한 성분에 의해 지배되며, 인간은 후각 자극에 대해 감성적으로 반응하기 때문에, 이를 디지털 정보로 표현하는 것은 매우 어렵다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 문제 때문에 후각의 경우, 시각이나 청각 등과 같은 표준화된 정보 표현 방법이나 사용자 인터페이스 방법이 제공되지 않고 있다.
기존의 콘텐츠 개발자들이 자신들의 콘텐츠에 향을 융합하여 개발하고자 할 때 기존의 미디어와 차별적인 향 미디어의 차별화된 특징과 발향 장치의 제원 등을 모른다 하더라도 쉽게 발향 콘텐츠를 개발할 수 있도록 하기 위해 발향 장치와 콘텐츠 간 상호 연동 모델에 관한 표준이 정의되었다. |

Unlike vision and auditory, it is very difficult for olfaction to be digitalized for application in multimedia system, because olfaction depends on complex chemical composition and human react emotionally to olfactory stimulation.
Olfactory does not have a standardized data presenting method or user interface method with these problems yet. The interaction model between contents and scent display device is defined as new standards in order that contents developer might easily apply olfactory display technology to the existing contents, even though they don't know a differentiated properties of scents and a specification of scent display devices. |
