This specification describes the CIM messages that form the HTTP payload, using XML, including the syntax and semantics of the message requests and their corresponding responses. It also describes the encapsulation of these messages in HTTP request and response messages, with examples of each. It describes the extension headers used to convey additional CIM-specific semantics in the HTTP Header. Finally it describes other aspects of the encapsulation: HTTP Version Support, The use of standard HTTP Headers, HTTP Error Codes, Security Considerations.
