This document identifies the reference model of Carrier Ethernet Interconnecting
Gateway that applies to 3G/4G/LTE based mobile Backhaul. The CEIGW supports the QoS functions for delay, jitter, availability of the mobile Backhaul to be compatibility with the legacy SONET and TDM interfaces. The CEIGW also supports clock synchronization between bas station and network controller in mobile Backhaul. In addition, the CEIGW provides the OAM and protection with the fast recover capability and management capability for interworking to carrier Ethernet switches. |
