There is an ICT standard of “Interface for playing motion-augmented multimedia contents” (TTA.KO.8.0030) for IPTV set-top box. According to this standard, there are eight commands sent to the multimedia controller from the operation control unit of a remote controller or a N-screen device. In order to activate eight commands, users might push a button that is assigned to a certain command or use a gesture.
The purpose of this standard is to standardize gestures for playing multimedia contents in the IPTV set-top box. By using the standardized gestures, users have no confusion in controlling multimedia contents in the IPTV.
