The requirements and framework for the managed P2P networking are defined in ISO/IEC TR 20002 (2012). The standard extends the framework of managed P2P to describe functional architecture that can be used for further descriptions on protocols. The standard describes how functions in the architecture interact with each other to provide manageability features with information flows, and describes reference points that can be considered to specify detailed protocols.
