This standard is intended to define interactive evaluation methods for quantifying the impact of coding artifacts, transmission delay and transmission impairments on pointto-point or multipoint audiovisual communications, and includes experimental design and solicitation of opinions. In the experimental design, it describes basic approach and factors to be investigated, stimuli used in conversational tests, test conditions and experimental design, subjects, subject training and reference connections, and ambient room and equipment characteristics. The solicitation of opinions recommends a possible test condition questionnaire and several category judgement scales used to evaluate the audiovisual terminal performance.
