이를 위하여 서비스 및 프로토콜 개발에 사용되는 관련 용어를 정의하며 다자간 통신 서비스 및 프로토콜 개발을 위한 프레임워크를 제안한다. 여기서 다자간 통신은 두 명 이상의 참여자 사이의 통신에 있어서의 서비스 관점으로 제한되며, 다자간 통신은 그 참여자들 사이에 교환하는오퍼레이션의 모드에 의해 표현된다. 본 표준은 이와 관련되어 다양한 그룹 통신의 형태 및 통신 특성을 정의하며 그룹 통신을 표현하기 위한 그룹 주소 표현 방식, 그룹간 통신 채널 연결방식, 그룹 통신에서의 QoS 제공 및 협상, 그룹의 생성 및 해제 단계 등을 포함한다. |

This Recommendation addresses the basic concepts needed to specify services and protocols for multi-peer communications. It defines the related terminology, and proposes a framework for the future development of multi-peer services and protocols. Multi-peer is limited to the service view of communication among more than two participants, and multipeer communication presents a mode of operation that supports exchanges between more than two service-users. This recommendation defines a various group communication types and communication characteristics, and includes group address method for description of group communication, methods for multi-peer communication channel connection, QoS support and negotiation for group commutation, and group creation and termination phases.
