This standard contains the components of optical fiber cables and their structures, various comprising methods of fibers in a cable, and the characteristics for performance which are optical transmission dimensions, mechanical/physical requirements and endurabilities against environmental conditions like temperature, humidity, water penetration, etc. In the contents, the characteristics can be classified by the installation place which has also the kinds of aerial space, buried trough and facilities installed in customer premises area.
