위한 메커니즘을 기술한다. 이 기술은 크게 모바일 노드 (Mobile Node)가 이동할 새로운 접근 라우터 (access router) 를 미리 발견하고, 새로운 망에서 사용할 보조주소 (Care of Address)를 미리 생성하며, 이전 접근 라우터와 새로운 접근 라우터 사이에 터널을 생성하여 핸드오버가 완료되기 전에 모바일 노드로 전송되는 패킷들을 버퍼링 하는 기술로 구성된다. 이러한 메커니즘을 위해서 본 표준에서는 몇몇 새로운 메시지들을 정의했으며, 기존의 이웃탐색프로토콜의 메시지를 수정하였다. |

This recommendation describes a mechanism for fast handover of MIPv6. This
mechanism is composed of following steps; a mobile node detects new access router in advance and creates new CoA which will be used in new access network. A tunnel is established between previous access router and new access router. This tunnel is used to forward packets destined to the mobile node’s previous CoA to new CoA. For this mechanism, this recommendation add new message or new option for existing NDP messages. |
