이 표준에는 GMPLS 기반 복구 기능을 위해 지역 (span) 복구, 세그먼트 복구, 단대단
복구 에 대해 기술한다. LSP(Label switched path)는 이러한 지역, 세그먼트 및 단대단
복구의 대상이 되며, 지역 보호(protection)는 두 인접 스위치 간의 링크 보호를 참조하
고 세그먼트 보호는 두 노드 사이의 LSP 세그먼트의 복구를 참조한다. 또한, 단대단 보
호는 입구 포트에서 출구 포트까지의 전체 LSP 보호를 참조한다.

영문 내용요약

This document describes a functional description of local span recovery, segment
recovery and end-to-end recovery for GMPLS based recovery. A label-switched path
(LSP) may be subject to local (span), segment, and/or end-to-end recovery. Local
span protection refers to the protection of the link between two neighboring switches.
Segment protection refers to the recovery of an LSP segment between two nodes, i.e.,
the boundary nodes of the segment. End-to-end protection refers to the protection
of an entire LSP from the ingress to the egress port.
