본 표준은 중앙 집중식 RACF (Resource and Admission Control Function) 구조를 설명한다. RACF 는 전달 자원 제어 기능 요소 (Transport Resource Control Functional Entity: TRC-FE) 와 정책 결정 기능요소 (Policy Decision Functional Entity : PD-FE) 로 이루어진다. 본 권고안은 중앙 집중 RACF 구조로서 TRC-FE 기능이 중앙에 구현된 네트워크 구조를 정의한다. 또한 이를 구현하기 위한 요구사항 및 제안된 구조를 사용해 이루어 지는 자원 예약 절차를 정의한다.

The architectural structure of a centralized resource admission and control functions (RACF) is considered in this Recommendation. RACF is comprised of a transport resource control functional entity (TRC-FE) and a policy decision functional entity (PD-FE). This Recommendation defines an architecture, which considers a centralized RACF resulting from a centralized TRC-FE, specifies supporting requirements; and describes the resource reservation process for this specific architecture.
