The technical report describes the intelligent voice assistant systems which can help people with daily-life jobs like schedule management, shopping and other entertainment activities. The report includes the recent technical trends of the intelligent voice assistant system and its core technologies. First, the overview of the intelligent voice assistant system and its core components are explained. Fundamentals of voice recognition and language understand technologies and their recent research trends are explained in each following section. Since large amount of service data becomes available for the intelligent system in theses days, an emphasis is made on the recent data-driven methods like machine learning and deep learning approaches. Technical trends and service deployment status in IT industry is also described in the following section. It concludes with suggestion for the future direction of the research and development for the intelligent voice assistant system.
