The standard defines an operational, management interface between server and edge node in an edge computing system. The main contents are composed of classification of interfaces required for operation and management of edge node, definition of interfaces and code of each interface function to be applied to various protocols, and the sequence of invocation of interface functions.
It defines the interaction between an application running on edge node and an application running on server. It is not yet protocol-level definition because it has not defined the message definition exchanged between the sending and receiving sides or the state transition diagram of the operation when receiving a message. |
