¿µ¹® ³»¿ë¿ä¾à This report describes definition of edge computing, which is core technology for distributed computing in various kinds of industry. Use case of edge computing for factory, energy, vehicle is focusing on low latency. As for media industry, edge computing is utilized for off-loading of large size of data. When the edge computing is combined with Network exposure and local domain network connectivity, local applications can be integrated with local 5G network. This type of localized network will not share data externally.
3GPP introduces new technologies such as edge computing to support vertical industry business. 3GPP defines architecture and functions that can be combined to implement edge computing at core network. This report describes the details of technology and functions to support edge computing of 3GPP.
