5세대 이동통신 네트워크는 버티컬 산업을 포함한 다양한 서비스 지원을 위해 비공용 네트워크(Non-public network) 및 슬라이스 기술 등을 도입하며, 높아진 망 운용의 복잡성을 자동화된 네트워크 데이터 분석을 통해 해소하기 위해 3GPP에서는 네트워크 데이터 분석 기능(NWDAF)을 정의하고, 네트워크 데이터 수집/분석 인터페이스 및 데이터 분석 유스 케이스에 대한 표준을 3GPP TS 23.288 규격에서 정의하였다.
새롭게 도입된 네트워크 분석 기능을 분석하기 위해 본 기술 보고서에서는 3GPP TS 23.288규격에 정의된 네트워크 데이터 분석 기능의 구조 및 인터페이스, 네트워크 데이터 분석을 돕기 위해 도입된 네트워크 기능들, 네트워크 분석 기능의 표준 유스 케이스 및 제공 분석 기능 등을 요약 기술한다.
구체적으로, 1절에서는 본 기술보고서의 범위를 기술하고, 2절에서는 본 기술보고서가 인용하는 국내외 모든 규격을 나열하고, 3, 4 절에서는 본 기술보고서에서 신규 사용하는 용어 및 약어를 정의하며 5절에서는 본 기술 보고서에서 분석하고자 하는 5G 네트워크 데이터 분석 기능의 구조 및 인터페이스의 특징을 기술하고, 6절에서는 네트워크 데이터 분석 기능의 내부 표준 구조와 원활한 데이터 수집 및 분석 정보 전달을 위한 주변 네트워크 기능 및 인터페이스를 기술하고, 7절에서는 네트워크 데이터 분석 기능이 제공하는 분석정보의 개요와 주요 유스 케이스를 나열한 후, 마지막으로, 8절에서는 본 기술보고서의 결론을 서술한다.

This technical report introduces a reference architecture and interface for NWDAF as well as use case and analytics of NWDAF.
The remainder of the present document is organized as follows:
In Section 1, the present document introduces the detailed scope of the technical report. In Section 2, the present document describes all the specification which is quoted in the report. In Section 3 and 4, the present document introduces definition and abbreviations of the report, respectively. In Section 5, the present document briefly introduces a reference architecture with interface for NWDAF. In Section 6, the present document introduces internal architecture of NWDAF with additional network functions for the enhancement of NWDAF framework. Furthermore, in Section 7, the present document introduces use cases for NWDAF, and the analytics that supports the use case, respectively. Finally, in Section 8, the present document concludes the technical report.
