This standard specifies the general structure of the intelligent network(IN) distributed functional plane(DFP) architecture within the overall framework of the IN conceptual model. It provides the IN DFP model, the criteria for grouping functions into functional entities and relationships and information flows between functional entities, and mapping the global functional plane to the distributed functional plane.
