| 한글 내용요약 | 본 표준은 인터넷에서 확장성 있는 차등 서비스를 실현하는 것에 대한 구조를 규정한다.
이 구조는 DS 필드를 사용한 IP-계층 패킷 마킹에 의해서 운반된 트래픽 분류 상태를 집합함으로써 확장성을 달성할 수 있다. 패킷은 분류되고 그들의 경로상에 있는 노드들에서 특별한 홉 단위 전달 행동을 받기 위하여 표시된다. 정교한 분류, 표시, 정책, 그리고 쉐이핑 오퍼레이션은 오직 네트워크 경계들 또는 호스트에서 실현될 필요가 있다. 네트워크 자원들은 어떻게 트래픽이 차별화된 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 네트워크의 엔트리에서 조절되고 마크되는지, 어떻게 그 트래픽이 네트워크의 안에서 전달되는지에 따라 운용되는 서비스 공급 정책에 의해 트래픽 흐름들에게 할당되는 기법을 제안하고자 한다. |

| 영문 내용요약 | This standard aims to summarize the IETF RFC2475. This document defines an architecture for implementing scalable service differentiation in the Internet. A "Service"defines some significant characteristics of packet transmission in one direction across a set of one or more paths within a network. These characteristics may be specified in quantitative or statistical terms of throughput, delay, jitter, and/or loss, or may otherwise be specified in terms of some relative priority of access to network resources. Service differentiation is desired to accommodate heterogeneous application requirements and user expectations, and to permit differentiated pricing of Internet service. | ||||||||||||||||
