모형으로 변화되어 가고 있다. 특히 라우팅과 시그널링 측면에서 IP와 광 네트워크 계층 사이에 상호작용을 위한 구조적인 길은 이미 성숙되어 있다. 동시에 광 제어 평면을 위한 IP 기반 프로토콜을 이용하고자 하는 것이 산업계에서 의견 일치가 이 루어지고 있다. 이 표준은 광 네트워크를 위한 IP 기반 제어 평면뿐만 아니라 IP와 광 네트워크의 상호작용 (모두 “IP over optical 네트워크”라고 칭함)을 동시에 고려한 IP over optical 네트워크를 위한 프레임워크를 정의한다. |

| 영문내용요약 | The Internet transport infrastructure is moving towards a model of high-speed
routers interconnected by optical core networks. The architectural choices for the interaction between IP and optical network layers, specifically, the routing and signaling aspects, are maturing. At the same time, a consensus has emerged in the industry on utilizing IP-based protocols for the optical control plane. This standard defines a framework for IP over Optical networks, considering both the IP-based control plane for optical networks as well as IP-optical network interactions (together referred to as "IP over optical networks"). |
