¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à | QoS resource management (sometimes called QoS routing) functions include CoS
identification, routing table derivation, connection admission, bandwidth allocation, bandwidth protection, bandwidth reservation, priority routing, priority queuing, and other related resource management functions. A broad classification of these functions is made up of connection-level controls and packet-level controls. QoS resource management methods have been applied successfully in TDM-based networks, and are being extended to IP-based and ATM-based networks. In an illustrative QoS resource management method, bandwidth is allocated in discrete changes to each of several virtual networks (VNETs), which are each assigned a priority corresponding to either high-priority key services, normal-priority services, or best-effort low-priority services. In this standard, first, to describe connection-level controls, we deal with bandwidth allocation method by using an illustrative MPLS CRLSP as an example of protocols for the effective QoS resource managements in IP-based network. In the process of discovering specific QoS resource managements, we handle the basic contents such as service priority and traffic class identification. we also handle dynamic bandwidth allocation and reservation methods and per-VNET and per-flow methods to get smooth understanding of the effective resource managements and connection-level controls. In the end part of this standard, we deal with usage parameter control, packet priority and queue management as the packet-level QoS resource management methods. |
