The standard specifies a set of interoperable FlexO B400G long-reach interfaces. The rates in scope for FlexO-x(e)- interfaces are 400G and 800G(x=4 and 8). The standard specifies the structure using FEC codes with a higher coding gain suitable for longer reach applications, and references common elements and FEC structures from ITU-T Recommendations G.709.1 and G.709.3, respectively. The optical parameters associated with FlexO B400G long-reach interfaces are provided by application codes, which are expected to be specified for 400G and 800G in a future edition of ITU-T Recommendation G.698.2. |
