| 한글내용요약 | DWDM 기술의 발달로 광 기반의 통신 네트워크에서 새로운 계층이 등장하게 되었으며, IP
라우터, MPLS LSR, ATM 스위치, SONET/SDH ADM 등과 같은 클라이언트 장비를 상호 접속하기 위해 전달 서비스를 제공하는 계층이 바로 광네트워크 계층이다. 일단, 초기 형태 로써, 광전달 네트워크는 SONET/SDH 프레임 구조를 사용하는 것으로 가정하지만, 그 네 트워크는 향후 다른 형태의 프레임 구조를 지원할 수 있다. 광-사용자망 인터페이스(OUNI) 는 광전달 네트워크와 클라이언트 장비간의 서비스 제어 인터페이스이다. O-UNI 신 호방식은 광전달 네트워크가 자신의 클라이언트에게 제공하는 서비스를 요청하기 위해 사 용한다. 본 표준은 O-UNI 상에서 제공되는 서비스들과, 이들 서비스를 요청하기 위한 신호 방식 프로토콜들, 신호방식 메시지들을 전송하기 위한 메커니즘, 그리고 자동 인식 절차 등 을 정의한다. |

| 영문내용요약 | With the development of optical multiplexing using technologies such as Dense Wave
Division Multiplexing (DWDM), a new layer has begun to evolve in fiber-opticsbased telecommunications networks. This is the optical network layer that provides transport services to interconnect clients such as IP routers, MPLS Label Switching Routers, ATM switches, SONET ADMs, etc. In its initial form, the optical transport network uses SONET/SDH as the framing structure, but the network may not be limited to these clients in the future. The UNI is the service control interface between the transport network and client equipment. Signaling over the UNI is used to invoke services that the transport network offers to clients. This document defines the services offered over the UNI, the signaling protocols used for invoking the services, the mechanisms for transporting signaling messages and autodiscovery procedures that aid in signaling. |
