비동기 이동통신 시스템에서 사용되는 GPR Support Node (SGSN)과 Visitor Location Register (VLR) 데이터 베이스 간의 연동을 가능하게 할 수 있다 Gs 인터페이스는 Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN)와 Visitors Location Register (VLR) 사이를 연결한다. 이 인터페이스는 SGSN부터 VLR까지 또는 VLR부터 SGSN까지 연결 시, E1 인터페이스의 경우 64 kbit/s로 정의 되어지고, T1 인터페이스의 경우, 64 kbit/s 또느 56 kbit/s로 정의 되어진다. Gs 인터페이스로 연결되는 많은 VLR들과 SGSN들에서 Gs 인터페이스에 대한 구현 제한은 없다. Gs 인터페이스는 하나의 SGSN이 여러 개의 VLR과 연결되어 질 수 있을 경우에는 GPRS의 구현을 지원해야 하고, 여러 개의 SGSN이 하나의 VLR과 연결되어 질 수 있을 경우에는 좀 더 완벽히 구현을 지원해야 한다. 그러므로 Gs 인터페이스는 STP의 사용을 지원해야 한다. Gs 인터페이스 |

| 영문내용요약 | This document specifies or references the subset of MTP and SCCP which is used for the reliable transport of BSSAP+ messages in the Gs interface. This document references the 3GPP TS 29.202 which specifies alternative transport layers that can be applied instead of the MTP. This document also specifies the SCCP addressing capabilities to be provided in the Gs interface.
This Technical Specification is divided into two main parts, Chapter 5 dealing with the use of MTP and chapters 6-7 dealing with the use of SCCP. Clause 5 of this Technical Specification deals with the subset of the MTP that is required between an SGSN and a VLR. It is intended that this implementation of MTP is compatible with a full MTP implementation. Chapter 4 references the 3GPP TS 29.202 which specifies alternatives to the MTP. The SCCP is used to provide message routing between the SGSN and the VLR. The SCCP routing principles specified in this Technical Specification allow to connect one SGSN to several VLR. |
