THIS STANDARD SHALL BE THE BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFIC STANDARDS FOR COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND WILL ENSURE THEIR LONG TERM COHERENCE BASED ON OBJECTIVE RATIONAL FOUNDATIONS AND THE INTERFACES BETWEEN CG SYSTEMS BASED ON CG STANDARDS THAT CONFORM TO THIS STANDARD.
