This standard defines a role of PISIM, PE, RAS (Radio Access Station) or ACR (Access Control Router), and AS (Authentication Server) to apply mutual authentication protocol based on PISIM to the 2.3GHz band portable internet service and also defines a message structure and transfer parameter among PISIM, PE, RAS or ACR, and AS. Also, this standard specifies an interface between a PE and the PISIM on the 2.3GHz band portable internet service (WiBro) and defines PISIM initialization process during PE initialization phase, authentication message transfer method between a PE and the PISIM and files for 2.3GHz band portable internet service that store network/user/ authentication information. Besides, this standard complies with an international standard and de-facto standard to guarantee interoperability and interworking with other networks. |
