| 한글내용요약 | IPv6 헤더의 20 비트 플로 레이블 필드는 하나의 플로 속한 패킷에 번호를 부여하는 데 사용된다. 플로 레이블 값이 부여되지 않은 것은 0 값을 가지며, 0이 아닌 플로 레이블 값은 운영상의 보안 문제가 없는 한 목적지까지 변경되어서는 안 된다. 상태 비보존형 시나리오에서 플로 기반 패킷 분류(classification)가 가능하도록 연관성 없는 개별 트랜스포트 연결, 응용 데이터 스트림에는 새로운 플로 레이블을 할당해 주고, 부하 분산을 위해 플로 레이블 값이 균등하게 분포되도록 하는 최소 요구 사항을 정의한다. 또한 상태 비보존형 시나리오를 위해 플로 레이블 값을 출발지 노드에 최소로 저장하도록 하는 방법을 권고한다. 예를 들어, IP 패킷의 5-튜플(tuple) 값으로부터 20 비트 해쉬 값을 생성해서 플로 레이블 값으로 사용할 수 있다. 플로 레이블을 설정하는 노드는 플로 상태 설정에 관여하며, 특정 플로에 대해 특정 처리를 하도록 시그널링을 한다. 이 경우 상태 비보존형 시나리오에 있는 노드들이 영향을 받지 않도록 해야 한다. | ||
| 영문내용요약 | The 20-bit Flow Label field in the IPv6 header is used to label packets of a flow. A Flow Label of zero is used to indicate packets that have not been labeled and, once set to a non-zero value, the Flow Label is expected to be delivered unchanged to the destination node(s) except for compelling operational security reasons. The minimum requirements for the stateless scenario are defined. Source nodes SHOULD assign each unrelated transport connection and application data stream to a new flow to enable Flow-Label-based classification, and flow label values should be uniformly distributed to assist load distribution. Also, for the stateless scenario, the method that keeps minimal local state at the source node to record the flow label is recommended. For example, a 20-bit hash of values from the IP packet's 5-tuple can be used as a Flow Label value. A node that sets the flow label MAY also take part in a flow state establishment method, resulting in a signal to assign specific treatments to specific flows. Any such method MUST NOT disturb nodes taking part in the stateless scenario. | ||
