Information Base (FIB), FIB Entry, FIB Size, Longest Length Prefix Match Algorithm, FIB Prefix Distribution, Per-Interface or Per-Card FIB, Per-Interface FIB Cache) and metrics(Maximum FIB Size, FIB Learning Time, FIB-dependent Throughput, FIB-dependent Latency, FIBdependent Frame Loss Rate) to be used in a methodology that determines the IP packet forwarding performance of IP routers. This methodology utilizes the packet forwarding performance measurements described in IETF RFC 2544; reference will also be made to the associated terminology document(IETF RFC 1242) for these terms. |
