| 한글내용요약 | 본 표준은 DWDM(Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 시스템에서 아래와 같은 기능을 수행하기 위해 필요한 광학 감시 기능(optical monitoring, OM)을 정의한다.
- 시스템 및 채널 활성화를 위한 구성 관리, 새로운 채널 추가 등. - 장애 검출 및 분리하기 위한 장애 관리; - 시스템 오류 발생전에 장애을 감지하기 위한 지속적인 성능 저하 관리 DWDM 기술은 빠르게 향상되어 채널 수, 채널 속도 및 전송 범위가 지속적으로 확장되고 있으며. 특히, 장거리 DWDM 시스템은 여러 구간을 전광 변환을 하지않고 수천 킬로미터까지 광신호를 전송할 수 있다. 이러한 DWDM 기술 발달 추세에 따라 광학 감시가 중요해지고 있으며 DWDM 시스템에서 그 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 표준은 10Gb/s, 40Gbit/s 및 100Gbit/s 신호에 대한 광학 감시에 대한 정보를 제공하고 광 신호대 잡음비(OSNR) 측정 절에 비트 잡음 방식을 추가하였으며, 보안 고려 사항에 대한 새로운 절을 소개하였다. |

| 영문내용요약 | The standard defines optical monitoring (OM) that can help in dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems to perform the following activities:
? configuration management for system and channel activation, addition of new channels, etc.; ? fault management to detect and to isolate faults; ? degradation management in order to keep the system running and to detect degradations before a fault occurs. DWDM technology is improving at a rapid pace, continuously stretching the channel count, channel speeds and reach limits. Long-haul multi-span DWDM systems are capable of taking optical signals thousands of kilometres without electrical terminations or regeneration. This continuing trend is driving the increasing importance of OM, which is the subject of this Recommendation. This edition of this Recommendation provides additional information on OM for 40 Gbit/s and 100 Gbit/s signals, adds beat noise method to the clause for optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) measurements, and introduces a new clause on security considerations. |
