| 한글내용요약 | 본 표준은 RFC 3493에서 정의 하는 기본 소켓 인터페이스에 추가하여 더 나은 IPv6 응용을 지원하기 위한 소켓 응용 프로그램 인터페이스(API)를 정의한다. Ping, Traceroute 등과 같은 명령들은 IPv6 나 IPv6 헤더 영역에 접근하기 위하여 원래의 소켓을 이용한다. 본 문서에서는 IPv6하에서 원래의 소켓을 이용하는 응용들을 위하여 이식성 있는 인터페이스를 갖도록 하고자 한다. 또한 IPv6의 또 다른 측면으로 나가는 인터페이스와 들어오는 인터페이스를 구분하는 것과 같은 인터페이스의 구분 정보나 IPv6 확장 헤더와 최대 전송 유닛(MTU) 정보를 필요로 하는 경우도 있는데, 이러한 측면에도 API 접근이 가능하도록 하고자 한다. | ||
| 영문내용요약 | This document provides sockets Application Program Interface (API) to support "advanced" IPv6 applications, as a supplement to a separate specification, RFC 3493. The expected applications include Ping, Traceroute, routing daemons and the like, which typically use raw sockets to access IPv6 or ICMPv6 header fields. This document proposes some portable interfaces for applications that use raw sockets under IPv6. There are other features of IPv6 that some applications will need to access: interface identification (specifying the outgoing interface and determining the incoming interface), IPv6 extension headers, and path Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) information. This document provides API access to these features too | ||
