The purpose of the standard is to allow content protected by CAS to be used in user devices that are not embedded with CAS, out of CAS protection scope. To do this, the standard aims at standardizing procedures and technologies that are designed to effectively deliver content access right and conditions granted to users by service providers to DRM embedded in user devices. |
