This standard includes clause 21 through clause 33 and annex 22A through annex 33E of contents in the IEEE Std. 802.3-2008 and describes the 100BASE-T and Reconciliation sublayer and media independent interface. This standard defines the full functional, electrical, and mechanical specifications of physical coding sublayer (PCS), physical medium attachment (PMA), and medium dependent interface (MDI) for 100BASE-T4 and 100BASE-X. This standard defines the functional and electrical specifications of repeaters using in the 100BASE-T networks and layer management functions for the data terminal equipments. |
