| 한글내용요약 | 최근 정지 영상과 비디오를 검색하는 기술의 발전과 더불어 영상이나 비디오가 포함하고 있는 내용을 기반으로 한 검색 기술이 주목을 받고 있다. 이와 관련하여 TTA에서는 2010년에는 정지 영상, 2011년에는 비디오, 2012년에는 모바일 환경에서의 객체 기반 정지 영상 검색에 관한 표준을 제정한 바 있다. 본 표준에서는 여기서 한 단계 더 발전된 검색 기술인 객체 기반 비디오 검색 기술에 대한 성능 평가 지침을 제정하고자 한다.
객체 기반 비디오 검색이란 비디오 화면에 포함되어 있는 객체(인물, 건물, 물건 등)를 추출한 다음 해당 객체에 대한 특징 정보(내용 기반 메타데이터)와 객체 상호 간의 관계를 기반으로 검색을 함으로서 사용자가 보다 직관적이고 정확하게 원하는 비디오를 검색하는 기술이다. 현재 전 세계적으로 그 어느 곳에서도 객체 기반 비디오 검색 기술에 대한 표준은 제정되어 있지 않고 관련 연구가 이제 시작되고 있는 단계이다. 객체 기반 비디오 검색 기술 성능 평가의 주요 항목으로는 검색 성공률, 검색 소요 시간, 검색 기술의 복잡도, 사용 메모리의 크기 등이 있으며 그 외에 객체 추출의 정확도 등이 주요 평가 항목이 된다. |

| 영문내용요약 | The content-based retrieval technology gets more attention these days due to the advancement of image and video retrieval technology. TTA sets the standard on image retrieval, video retrieval and object-oriented image retrieval in mobile environment in 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively. In this standard, performance evaluation criteria for the state-of-art video retrieval technology using object-oriented approach are described.
Object-oriented video retrieval is the technology that extracts the object from the video frames and then uses the features derived from the object and relations between the objects. Through this, more intuitive and accurate video retrieval is possible. At present, no nation has ever established a standard for the object-based video retrieval and the relevant research has just begun. The major items for the performance evaluation of object-based video retrieval are success rate, complexity, memory size, and the accuracy of object separation. |
