¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à The standard specifies the orthography method for smart broadcast metadata. It will be served as universally usable metadata format required for broadcast content distribution and innovative service provision. Moreover, the standard represents a classification, overall architecture and data type of broadcast content metadata for smart broadcast. It defines metadata type, element and attribute for scene based advanced content metadata and broadcast content related supplementary information metadata such as product, person, location, and music especially. Furthermore, it defines scene clip usage related statistics metadata. In other words, the standard includes additional metadata which is generated with an integrated approach by using together the collected information from broadcast content related crowd-sourcing such as script, caption, and web data. The representative scene and topic metadata means an essential and valuable context about the broadcast content on the basis of more affluent and detailed level.
The standard allows different content providers and distribution platforms to use unified metadata format during the process of content distribution and service provision. Therefore, it causes an increased efficiency of the distribution by minimizing unnecessary data conversion and duplicated metadata creation. Moreover, by using the proposed metadata such as scene, topic and supplementary information, we can create an intelligent and personalized smart broadcast service easily and rapidly.
In addition, the standard will be used not only terrestrial broadcasting stations and CATV/IPTV broadcasting stations, but also 3rd party media providers and user as a prosumer. Besides, the scope of the standard will be extended with diverse application areas such as media commerce, advertisement, education, infortainment, and etc. Therefore, the standard may contribute to the activation of broadcast content distribution industry, and the construction of smart media eco-system with a virtuous cycle.
