¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à The standard defines the general requirements such as the Class B AIS should not provide an interference and be compatible with any other AIS stations operating on according to ITU-R M.1371-5 and also be inter-operable with same type automatic identification systems and the operation modes of Class B AIS device. The standard defines the performance requirements such as the general requirements such as hardware compositions and the information capable of transmitting/receiving to any other vessels or a base station(coast station) installed AIS via VHF channels for an own position, speed, course and other informations using a GNSS receiver. It is defined the technical requirements including detailed descriptions according to OSI layer structure.
