¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à This amendment includes to IEEE Std 802.3-2005 and adds the new Clause 69 through Clause 74 and Annex 69A, Annex 69B, Annex 74A and Annex 74B. Clause 69 provides on overview of Ethernet operation over electrical backplanes. Clause 70 through Clause 72 define three new PMD developed for operation over electrical backplanes. 1000 BASE-KX specifies 1 Gb/s serial operation. Clause 73 specifies an Auto-negociation function for use over electrical backplanes. Finally, Clause 74 specifies an optional forward error correction (FEC) sublayer for 10GBASE-R PHYs for improved link performance.
This standard supplies Ethernet frame at the MAC, existing media independent interfaces, auto-negotiation, and BER of 10-12 or better. This standard also operates over Improved FR-4 up to 1 m.
