¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à The Flex Ethernet technology specified in this Standard supports either MAC rates higher than Ethernet PHY rates by bonding a plurality of PHYs, or MAC rates lower than Ethernet PHY rates through sub-rate or channelization. This Standard operates on 50GBASE-R, 100GBASE-R, 200GBASE-R, or 400GBASE-R Etheret PHYs, and supports client MACs of 10Gb/s, 40Gb/s, or m x 25Gb/s rates through bonding, sub-rate, or channelization. Flex Ethernet functions are located in the Physical Coding Sublayer (PCS) of the Ethernet PHY in the IEEE 802.3 layer stack as a form of shim, and maps 64B/66B encoded bit-streams to either 5Gb/s or 25Gb/s calendar slots through time-division multiplexing. Flex Ethernet signals can be mapped to the transport networks in a manner such as FlexE unaware transport, FlexE termination in the transport, and FlexE aware transport.
