| 한글내용요약 | 본 표준은 IEEE 802 LAN에서 자신의 접속을 다른 단말에게 알려주기 위한 관리 객체와 프로토콜에 대한 규정이다. 단말의 관리 주소나 단말 주소, 접속점에 대한 아이디를 알려주는 기능을 규정한다. 표준에서 정한 프로토콜은 다음과 같다.

| 영문내용요약 | This standard is based on the contents in the existing IEEE standard 802.1AB-2009. This standard allows stations attached to an IEEE 802 LAN to advertise, to other stations attached to the same IEEE 802 LAN, the major capabilities provided by the system incorporating that station, the management address or addresses of the entity or entities that provide management of those capabilities, and the identification of the station’s point of attachment to the IEEE 802 LAN required by those management entity or entities.
This standard defines a protocol that a) Advertises connectivity and management information about the local station to adjacent stations on the same IEEE 802 LAN. b) Receives network management information from adjacent stations on the same IEEE 802 LAN. c) Operates with all IEEE 802 access protocols and network media. d) Establishes a network management information schema and object definitions that are suitable for storing connection information about adjacent stations. e) Provides compatibility with the IETF PTOPO MIB (IETF RFC 2922 [B14]) |
