| 영문내용요약 | This standard assists in meeting a requirement of the international convention for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), adopted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), that radio equipment defined in chapters III and IV, and the performance requirements defined in Resolution A.809(19) of the International Maritime Organization, be type approved by administrations. (Administrations are defined y the IMO as goverments of the states whose flags the ships are entitled to fly)
Additionally, this standard defines the Cospas-Sarsat policy and describes the type approval test methods |
